
The torque tube conversion kit replaces the belt drive to the tail rotor. The TT kit incorporates a torque tube drive supported by ball races and a bevel gear drive to the tail output shaft.
The benefits of a torque tube system are reduced losses through belt friction which releases more engine power and also aids auto rotation, again through a reduction in drag.
However, whilst the torque tube system is more efficient, it is more complex and less robust than the belt drive solution and more parts are required in the event o crash damage.
Assembly and set up is straight forward and all gears can be purchased separately.
The build quality is excellent, very easy to set up, it looks very professional and the performance is significantly improved. For all the mentioned reasons, it is highly recommended. All gears can be bought separately and cheaply.
